AI Power Grid - Use and Privacy Policy

This Prohibited Use Policy outlines restrictions on how users may use AI Power Grid's services, including text-based chat and image generation capabilities. By using our services, you agree to comply with this policy. We reserve the right to update this policy at any time.

Prohibited Uses

You may not use nor allow others to use AI Power Grid or our services to:

1. Infringe on Rights: Generate any content, including text outputs, images, or other results that infringes, misappropriates, or otherwise violates any individual's or entity's rights (including, but not limited to rights in copyrighted content, trademarks, or likeness rights).
2. Illegal Activities: Perform or facilitate dangerous, illegal, or malicious activities, including:
   • Facilitation or promotion of illegal activities or violations of law, such as:
     • Promoting or generating content related to child sexual abuse or exploitation;
     • Promoting or facilitating sale of, or providing instructions for synthesizing or accessing, illegal substances, goods, or services;
     • Facilitating or encouraging users to commit any type of crimes; or
     • Promoting or generating violent extremism or terrorist content.
   • Engagement in the illegal or unlicensed practice of any vocation or profession including, but not limited to, legal, medical, accounting, or financial professional practices.
   • Abuse, harm, interference, or disruption of services (or enable others to do the same), such as:
     • Promoting or facilitating the generation or distribution of spam; or
     • Generating content for deceptive or fraudulent activities, scams, phishing, or malware.
   • Attempts to override or circumvent safety filters or intentionally drive AI models to act in a manner that contravenes this Prohibited Use Policy.
   • Generation of content that may harm or promote the harm of individuals or a group, such as:
     • Generating content that promotes or encourages hatred;
     • Facilitating methods of harassment or bullying to intimidate, abuse, or insult others;
     • Generating content that facilitates, promotes, or incites violence;
     • Generating content that facilitates, promotes, or encourages self harm;
     • Generating personally identifying information for distribution or other harms;
     • Tracking or monitoring people without their consent;
     • Generating content that may have unfair or adverse impacts on people, particularly impacts related to sensitive or protected characteristics; or
     • Generating, gathering, processing, or inferring sensitive personal or private information about individuals without obtaining all rights, authorizations, and consents required by applicable laws.
3. Misinformation: Generate and distribute content intended to misinform, misrepresent or mislead, including:
   • Misrepresentation of the provenance of generated content by claiming content was created by a human, or represent generated content as original works, in order to deceive;
   • Generation of content that impersonates an individual (living or dead) without explicit disclosure, in order to deceive;
   • Misleading claims of expertise or capability made particularly in sensitive areas (e.g. health, finance, government services, or legal);
   • Making automated decisions in domains that affect material or individual rights or well-being (e.g., finance, legal, employment, healthcare, housing, insurance, and social welfare);
   • Generation of defamatory content, including defamatory statements, images, or audio content; or
   • Engaging in the unauthorized or unlicensed practice of any profession including, but not limited to, financial, legal, medical/health, or related professional practices.
4. Sexual Content: Generate sexually explicit content, including text or images created for the purposes of pornography or sexual gratification (e.g. sexual chatbots or deepfake pornographic imagery). Note that this does not include content created for scientific, educational, documentary, or artistic purposes.
5. Image Generation-Specific Prohibitions: With respect to image generation capabilities:
   • Creating deepfakes or synthetic media that depicts real individuals in misleading or harmful contexts without proper consent and disclosure;
   • Generating images that depict minors in inappropriate, unsafe, or sexualized contexts;
   • Creating counterfeit documents, currency, official identification, or official credentials;
   • Generating images that depict graphic violence, gore, or cruelty;
   • Creating images containing text that would violate any other part of this policy, such as hate speech or incitement to violence;
   • Generating images of public figures or celebrities for commercial use without appropriate permissions;
   • Creating images that falsely represent products, services, or brands (including logos and trademarks).

Additional Restrictions

In addition to the above prohibitions:

• You may not use our service to develop competitive services or for the purpose of extracting training data.
• You may not attempt to reverse engineer or extract the underlying models.
• You may not use our service for high-risk activities where failure could lead to personal injury, property damage, or significant financial loss.
• You may not use automated means to generate excessive amounts of traffic or requests to our service.
• You may not use generated images or text in ways that deceive others about their origin or authenticity without proper disclosure.

Enforcement

AI Power Grid reserves the right to:

• Monitor compliance with this policy
• Investigate potential violations
• Suspend or terminate service to users who violate this policy
• Remove or block content that violates this policy
• Report violations to appropriate authorities when necessary

Privacy Information

AI Power Grid operates using a distributed network of worker nodes that process user requests. Please be aware of the following privacy considerations:

• Your prompts, inputs, and generated outputs are processed by distributed worker nodes in our network.
• While we implement security practices, the distributed nature of our service means that worker nodes temporarily have access to the content being processed.
• We recommend not including sensitive personal information, confidential data, or private details in your prompts or requests.
• For highly sensitive use cases, consider using dedicated, private AI solutions rather than public distributed services.
• By using our service, you acknowledge and accept that your inputs will be processed by our distributed worker network.

We value your privacy and implement reasonable measures to protect your information, but the inherent architecture of distributed AI processing systems involves multiple processing points. Our worker node operators are expected to maintain appropriate security and privacy practices, but we cannot guarantee end-to-end privacy of all inputs processed through our distributed network.

Disclaimer of Liability

AI Power Grid is a distributed service that provides access to large language models and image generation models. We do not create or control the content generated by these models in response to user inputs. We make no warranties about the accuracy, reliability, or appropriateness of the output generated by our service.

While we implement safety measures, our models may occasionally produce inaccurate, offensive, or inappropriate content. Users are responsible for evaluating and taking responsibility for the outputs they receive and how they use those outputs.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AI POWER GRID AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF OUR SERVICE OR ANY OUTPUTS GENERATED BY OUR SERVICE.
